India reports 40,953 new cases, 188 deaths in last 24 hours; tally over 1.15 crore

India on Saturday reported 40,953 new Covid-19 cases, and 188 deaths in the last 24 hours, according to the Union Health Ministry. The total confirmed cases of coronavirus in India stands at 1,15,55,284 as of Sunday. Meanwhile, the death toll stands at 1,59,558. As many as 23,653 recoveries were made during the same time. The country has 2,88,394 active cases and 1,11,07,332 recovered cases as of Saturday. A total of 16,637 recoveries have been made in the last 24 hours.
