ISRO's planned two-way communication between Chandrayaan-2 orbiter and Chandrayaan-3 lander has been established.
In a message on X today, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) said the orbiter sent a welcome message to the Chandrayaan 3 lander, which consists of the Vikram lander and the Pragyan rover.
"You are welcome, friend!" The Ch-2 orbiter officially welcomed the Ch-3 LM. Two-way communication is established between the two. MOX (Mission Operations Complex) now has more routes to reach the LM," ISRO said in a message to X. The Chandrayaan-2 spacecraft with an orbital lander and a rover was launched in 2019. While the lander with the rover in its belly crashed into the surface of the Moon, the orbiter Pradan was undamaged and is currently in a 100 km x 100 km orbit around the moon.

ISRO Chairman S Somnath today met Atomic Energy and Space Minister Jitendra Singh and briefed him about the status of Chandrayaan-3 and its readiness to land on the moon on Wednesday. The ISRO chairman told the minister that all systems of Chandrayaan-3 are working perfectly and no untoward incident is expected during the landing. He said the health of Chandrayaan-3 is being continuously monitored. Jitendra Singh expressed confidence in the success of Chandrayaan-3 and wrote a new page in the history of planetary exploration.
The success of Chandrayaan-3 would make India the first country to land on the south pole of the Moon, which is believed to have frozen water that can sustain human life and is of special interest to scientists. Japan, Israel, United Arab Emirates, and recently Russia tried to land on the south pole of the moon but failed.
