Before 18.-22. the government called a party meeting on September 17 for the extraordinary session of the parliament starting on September 17. at 4:30 p.m.
Union Parliamentary Minister Pralhad Joshi said today, "The Parliament session starting on 18th of this month will be preceded by a meeting of all party leaders on 17th at 4.30 pm. An invitation for the same has been sent to interested leaders by email. Letter . follows."

The government has yet to release an agenda for the emergency session, although it is widely believed that it may go ahead with changing the country's name from India to Bharat before the 2047 independence centenary Amrit Kaal.
The Women's Reservation Act is also likely to be on the agenda. Congress Parliamentary Party chief Sonia Gandhi recently wrote to Joshi listing nine issues the opposition would like to raise in the session, lamenting the lack of an agenda for the session.
Joshi responded saying that apparently Sonia was not aware of the rules and customs as it was not usual for political parties to convene a session or distribute the agenda of the session before the session begins.
