A case against a Madhya Pradesh minister for violating election rules calls for his sacking from the Congress

A case has been registered against Madhya Pradesh Transport and Revenue Minister Govind Singh Rajput for violating the transport code of conduct in the state ahead of next month's assembly elections.

The Congress demanded his removal and a public and brazen offer to pay ₹ 25 lakh andquot; the booth where the party in power in the state receives the most votes.

According to the FIR, action was taken based on the report of the returning officer of Surkhi constituency. A case under Section 188 of the IPC and Section 123 of the Representation of the People Act was registered against the minister at Rahatgarh police station in Sagar district.

Govind Singh Rajput is contesting the election from the Surkhi Assembly seat in the district. An alleged video of Minister Rajput has gone viral where he is seen announcing that he will give ₹25,000 to the polling station andquot;whoever gets the most votes" for the BJP in the upcoming elections.
