Delhiites awakened to a cold and hazy morning as the base temperature in the public capital on Thursday plunged to 4.8 degrees Celsius, three scores beneath the season's normal, the climate division said.

The Indian Meteorological Division (IMD) has given an "orange caution" for thick haze at separated places in Delhi for Thursday. 24 trains to New Delhi have been behind schedule because of low perceivability.

The public capital's greatest temperature for the day is supposed to drift around 19 degrees Celsius.

Delhi has encountered five cold days and five virus wave days in January up until this point, the most noteworthy in the beyond 13 years, as per the IMD.

The general Air Quality Record in the city remained at 355 at 9 am, as per information by the Focal Contamination Control Board.

The relative stickiness at 8.30 am was 97%, the IMD announcement said.
