Excluded for cross-casting a ballot in Rajya Sabha surveys, 6 Himachal Pradesh MLAs move High Court

Six Congress MLAs, who were excluded after they cross-casted a ballot in the new Rajya Sabha surveys in Himachal Pradesh, moved the High Court on Tuesday against their preclusion.

The ex-MLAs have recorded a request against the February 29 choice of the state Regulative Get together Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania.

These Congress rebels, who had casted a ballot for the BJP chosen one in the Rajya Sabha surveys, later swore off deciding on the Financial plan, opposing a party whip.

The decision Congress had looked for their exclusion on this ground.

The precluded MLAs are Rajinder Rana, Sudhir Sharma, Inder Dutt Lakhanpal, Devinder Kumar Bhutoo, Ravi Thakur and Chetanya Sharma.

Following their preclusion, the compelling strength of the House has gone down from 68 to 62, while the quantity of Congress MLAs has contracted from 40 to 34.
