The administration’s decision to restore limited Internet in Jammu and Kashmir has been condemned by local residents as too slow and too little as the speed has been restricted to the lowest and only a minuscule list of websites made accessible.

The low speed of the mobile Internet has become a cause of long wait for netizens who attempted to access the World Wide Web, which has over 1.5 billion websites and people in Kashmir will have access to 300 of them only.

“It looks like we are moving from Stone Age to Bronze Age,” Adil Ahmad, a resident of Srinagar’s old city who has a doctorate degree, said.
