The enthusiasm of the army in Ladakh, which was cut by road from the rest of the country due to heavy snowfall, is encouraging the people. In the difficult situation of Ladakh, the army fixed the internet services affected due to faults in the optical fiber cable.

Fixing the optical fiber cable at an altitude of 18 thousand feet in Khardungla was no less of a challenge. In such a situation, after raising this issue from the administration, the soldiers of the army's signal regiment climbed a snow-laden hill in temperatures below zero, removing the technical glitch and restored the communication links. Army's PRO Defense Lt. Col. Devendra Anand says that the army is a part of the happiness and misery of the people in Ladakh. In the winter months, the army considers its responsibility to remove the difficulties of the people there.

Meanwhile, along with removing the difficulties of the people, the army is also supporting the promotion of sports in Ladakh. The 14 Corps, which takes care of Ladakh's security, organized an ice hockey competition in Leh to give the players a chance to showcase their talent. 13 teams including the defending ice hockey defending Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) team participated in the competition. The competition started on 22 January at Leh Ice Hockey Ground.

This is not the first time that the army has successfully carried out the task of fixing the fiber cable despite adverse conditions. Even before this, whenever there was a need for the army, they have discharged their responsibility well without losing any moment. Along with protecting the borders of the country, the army has also been organizing sports to enhance the talent of the youth.
