France’s most iconic Art Nouveau house is finally reopening, so you can pay a visit soon. The house went through many months of renovation and is finally ready to reopen for guests. Art Nouveau is a typical style of art that was very popular between 1890 and 1910. The house is located in France’s riverfront city of Nancy.

It is important to note here that the Grand Square of Nancy is a visual treat.

The Art Nouveau house is named Villa Majorelle and was designed by architect Henri Sauvage. It was built for furniture maker Louis Majorelle. The house is full of beautiful furniture, and this is because Majorelle wanted part of it to be a place to display his work to customers. The house is also full of art pieces drawn by his friends.

The villa recently went through a massive restoration project costing €2.5 million, where both its internal and external elements got renovated. The villa is all ready to welcome guests and continue as a museum as of now. According to reports, Henri Sauvage was given all the freedom to work on the house, and in his own words, there were no budget limitations imposed on him. The result, of course, is this beautiful house that you can visit today. Well, not really today, but in a few days time when it reopens officially.

The villa is going to be an amorous experience for visitors, taking you back to the 1900s. You can take a walk inside the house and explore all the rooms in the house, including the bedroom and studio.

It is reopening on February 15, after which it will remain open from Wednesday to Sunday. However, do not be too late, as the house will once again be closed down in 2021-2022 for another renovation.
