Walmart India operated Best Price store in Jammu, which has been has been servicing the needs of the community through ecommerce channels and delivery model for the last two months, is now reopening for walk-in customers.

"The store has already taken adequate sanitation and safety measures to welcome customers back. All associates who work at the store are wearing masks, gloves and face shields to ensure the highest hygiene standards.

For the safety of customers, Best Price Jammu will allow only 50 people inside the store at one time. It has also created a safe waiting area for 20 persons right outside the store entrance and urges the residents of the city to follow social distancing protocol outside the store premises.

The floors of Best Price stores are marked with yellow stripes and boxes to designate enough space for each member to maintain safe distance from each other. The store has deployed hand washing stations at the entry of stores as well as multiple hand sanitizer stations across each store. The stores are also equipped with contactless thermometers for conducting temperature checks. High-touch surfaces of our stores are being regularly sanitized and cleaned with disinfectant.

Customers will also be able to buy all health and sanitation essentials at a special corner in the store designated for these items."said the Walmart India Spokesperson.

“Walmart India also encourages Jammu customers to also use its Best Price website and mobile app to have the products delivered to them within few days. The company has also on-boarded additional delivery partners to manage increased delivery volumes. Our delivery team is equipped with personal protective equipment such as masks, hand sanitizers and gloves and the delivery vehicles are disinfected prior to loading,”Walmart India Spokesperson added.
