Coronavirus Update: J&K reports 127 new positive cases; 1,18,155 recovered so far

The Government on Friday informed that 127 new Positive cases of novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)
85 from Jammu region and 42 from Kashmir region have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 122303.

Also 4 COVID-19 deaths have been reported, 2 from Jammu region and 2 from Kashmir region. Moreover, 278 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 158 from Jammu region and 120 from Kashmir region.

According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (COVID-19), out of 122303 positive cases, 2241 are active Positive, 118155 have recovered and 1907 have died; 709 in Jammu region and 1198 in Kashmir region.

The Bulletin further said that out of 40,34,984 test results available; 39,12,681 samples have been tested as negative till 8th January, 2021.
Till date 937286 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 24797 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 2241 in isolation and 28973 in home surveillance. Besides, 879368 persons have completed their surveillance period.
