Rs 300 crore drugs syndicate: After the arrest of Iqbal Kaskar, several raids by NCB in parts of Mumbai

10-02-2021

After the arrest of Iqbal Kaskar, several raids are currently underway against drugs by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in parts of Mumbai. Several drug dealers have been nabbed by the NCB over the recent past after the arrest of Arif Bhujawala, Times Now has learnt. The current raids are a part of the continuation of the Bollywood-drug mafia nexus. Earlier today, the NCB also issued a lookout circular against drug peddler Mohammad Bilal alias Telwala. The said circular was issued on the basis of Bhujwala's chats, which were accessed by the probe agency. "A lookout circular has been issued against drug peddler Mohammad Bilal alias Telwala. His name came into light after the NCB checked Arif Bhujwala's chats," an NCB officer was quoted as saying by news agency.

Bhujawala owns a Rs 1000 crore property, luxury cars

Bhujwala was arrested by the NCB in connection with a drug case in Raigad last month. He was also questioned by the state police. Arif's arrest is thus likely to reveal more names involved in the business. According to news agency, Arif owns a plus Rs 1,000 crore property, luxury cars, four flats and two shops, all of which was amassed over the past five years. "It is believed that Arif has close relations with underworld don, Dawood Ibrahim and a few days back when NCB raided Dongri, Arif managed to escape from the spot," an NCB official told the news agency. According to reports, Bhujwala is the 'mastermind of the Rs 300 crore annual drugs syndicate' which is operated through a network of laboratories and godowns with the help of dirty money from Dubai.
