UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson moved to ICU as coronavirus symptoms worsen

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who was diagnosed with the coronavirus more than a week ago, has been moved to the intensive care unit (ICU) of a London hospital after his Covid-19 symptoms worsened on Monday. Boris Johnson was admitted to St Thomas' Hospital in London on Sunday after for tests after the Covid-19 symptoms persisted, 10 days after testing positive for the virus. Boris Johnson's office released a statement after the British prime minister was moved to the ICU. In the statement, Boris Johnson's office said, "Over the course of this afternoon, the condition of the prime minister has worsened and, on the advice of his medical team, he has been moved to the Intensive Care Unit at the hospital." Downing St said Boris Johnson was conscious and does not require ventilation at the moment, but was in the intensive care unit in case he needed it later.
