In Textile Mill Kathua, workers demanding their salaries. On Friday staged protest demonstration and also pelted stones at the premises of the textile mill. As per initial reports, the labourers of Chenab Textile Mill assembled near the mill on Jammu-Pathankot National Highway and shouted slogans against the mill and government. These workers alleged that due to the lockdown, the factory is not functioning and they are given peanuts in the name of salary, which is inadequate to meet their daily expenses. They demanded salaries and early payment of their outstanding salaries. These workers became furious with these demands and stoned heavily in the Chenab textile complex. After this, the workers came on the Jammu Pathankot highway and vandalized the vehicles as well as public property. At the same time, the workers also pelted stones on the police who reached the spot. However, later police managed to pacify the protesters.
