The air quality index (AQI) of the national capital was recorded at 186 on Monday morning, which falls in the 'moderate' category. On Sunday, the AQI of Delhi was 142, which also comes under the 'moderate' category. On Monday, however, the air quality of Delhi deteriorated further as the AQI reached the figure of 186. According to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR), PM10 pollutants in Delhi were recorded at 175 on Monday morning, which falls in the 'moderate' category and PM2.5 pollutants were recorded at 86, which also falls in the 'moderate' category. As per SAFAR, on Tuesday morning, the AQI of Delhi will deteriorate further as PM10 pollutants will reach the figure of 219 and PM2.5 will be recorded at 107. In the next three days of the week, PM10 pollutants will reach the figure of 158 and PM2.5 pollutants will dock at 77.
