The International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking also known as 'World Drug Day' is celebrated annually on 26th June. The theme of World Drug Day for this year is "Better Knowledge for Better Care."

The field of addressing the drug problem has been 'plagued' by misinformation of many kinds. This years theme aims at improving the understanding of the world drug problem and at fostering greater international co-operation for countering its impact on health, governance and security.
The International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking is basically a United Nations International Day against drug abuse and the illegal drug trade.
