The People's Democratic Party (PDP) has fired eight of its senior leaders for negotiating with the government, meeting the lieutenant governor and a delegation of foreign diplomats. He said that action has been taken against these leaders for going against the aspirations of the people. These leaders were reported to be fired on social networking site Twitter.
The leaders against whom action has been taken are Dilawar Mir, Rafi Ahmed Mir, Zafar Iqbal, Abdul Majeed Padar, Raja Manzoor Khan, Javed Hussain Baig, Qamar Hasan and Abdul Rahim Rather. All have been former MLAs. These leaders succumbed to former PDP leader Syed Altaf Bukhari and became a member of the delegation meeting the Lieutenant Governor. Also met diplomats from 15 countries who visited Kashmir.
