As U.S approves Pfizer vaccine, Trump boasts of delivering Medical miracle in 9 months

The U.S Drug regulator on Friday approved the Pfizer Coronavirus vaccine for emergency use and soon after, outgoing U.S President Donald Trump released a video saying the U.S has managed to produce an effective and safe vaccine in just 9 months.

Donald Trump also referred to the Pfizer vaccine as a �Medical miracle� and �one of the greatest scientific accomplishments in history�. He further said that the first vaccine will be administered within 24 hours.

Donald Trump trumpeted the Pfizer vaccine achievement and once again blamed China for the COVID-19 pandemic. Critics have said Trump�s focus on China was aimed at deflecting attention from his missteps in combating the pandemic.

"The United States is the first nation in the world to produce a verifiably safe and effective vaccine. Today's achievement is a reminder of America's unlimited potential," Trump said in the video on Friday.

"The first vaccine will be administered in less than 24 hours," Trump said in a televised address released on Twitter.

"Through our partnership with FedEx and UPS, we have already begun shipping the vaccine to every state and zip code in the country," he said, adding that governors would decide who would receive the shots first in their states.

With Friday�s approval, the U.S became the sixth country to approve the two dose Pfizer vaccine after Britain, Bahrain, Canada, Saudi Arabia and Mexico.
