UP emerged as growth engine of country: Yogi Adityanath presents 4-year report card of his govt

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday highlighted the achievements of his government on the completion of four years. He thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for consistently supporting the state government and asserted that soon Uttar Pradesh would become India's biggest state in terms of GSDP. Before addressing a press conference, CM Yogi Adityanath released a developmental booklet comprising the state government's achievements on the completion of four years. While speaking to media, the Uttar Pradesh CM said, "In the last four years, UP has emerged as the growth engine of the country. We aim to make the state India's biggest economy in terms of the Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP)." Taking a dig at the previous governments, Adityanath said that successive UPA governments sidelined Uttar Pradesh and kept it bereft of the Centre's schemes for decades. However, it was under his regime that UP started benefiting from the Govt's initiatives, he added. "In 2017, when we formed the government, there were many villages without roads, schools or any development works. In some tribal villages, people didn't even have voting rights. We ensured that they were not deprived of any of the basic amenities and rights," said Yogi Adityanath.
