Streets, houses submerged after heavy downpour in Nagpur

Residents of low-lying areas on Thursday woke up to flooded streets, under bridges, and homes after heavy rain lashed the city. As is the case during every monsoon in the city, the roughly an-hour heavy downpour from 12 midnight to 1 am inundated many parts of the city. "The streets were waterlogged and rainwater entered many houses in north, east, south and west Nagpur," officials from Nagpur Municipal Corporation's fire and emergency services department.
