An El Salvador funeral home has taken Barbie mania to the extreme by offering pink Barbie-lined caskets.
Everything is designed to make you a Barbie fan until you die—and beyond.

Pink metal caskets are for sale at Alpha and Omega Funeral Home in the town of Ahuachapán, near the Guatemalan border.
Owner Isaac Villegas said Friday that he offered an alternative to the pink coffins even before the July premiere of the Barbie movie. But the Latin American craze made him decorate the fabric coverings of coffins with pictures of dolls. The coffins are also decorated with small white stars.

"I said we have to jump on this trend," Villegas said of the coffins, noting that "it worked." He said the funeral home has already launched an advertising campaign around the Barbie caskets and has sold 10 of them. Although that doesn't mean 10 people are buried in them — many in El Salvador are buying a prepaid package for future burials.
Villegas said that just a year ago, families preferred traditional brown, black, white, or gray coffins. But a year ago, she sold her first pink coffin to a family who wanted their very lucky relative buried in a happier one.
Now he has no plans to go back, although he still offers darker colors.
