The second no-confidence motion in five years against the BJP-led NDA government failed in Thursday's vote as the opposition split after Prime Minister Narendra Modi predicted victory for the ruling alliance in 2024 and dared rivals to table a third motion against him. In 2028, when India would be among the top three economies in the world, he said. The first presentation was made in July 2018.
