Two people were killed and six others injured when a man opened fire on some of his neighbors during a dispute over pets in Madhya Pradesh's Indore, police said on Friday.
Rajpal Rajawati, who works as a bank security guard and lives in Krishna Bagh Colony, has been identified as an accused.
"Rajpal got into an argument with some neighbors in his colony over pets. When the argument escalated, Rajawat went on the roof of his house and fired in the air and then at the people standing below," said Deputy Commissioner of Police Amrendra Singh.
According to DCP, six people were injured and two people were killed in the firing. "Eight people were shot, out of which two persons, Rahul and Vimal, died on the spot. Six of them sustained injuries and are undergoing treatment at the hospital," said DCP Singh.
