The government on Wednesday directed all executive departments to modify the applicable Examination and Service rules for addition of a separate order of ‘ Third Gender/ any Other Category ” in the operation forms in reclamation to colorful posts in J&K. “ The Transgender Persons( Protection of Rights), Act of 2019, prohibits the demarcation, denial or illegal treatment of members of Transgender community in educational establishments, employment, health institutions and public services etc, ” reads a indirect issued by the government then. The Act makes it obligatory for the Government to take applicable way to secure full and effective participation of ambisexual persons, their addition in the society, to grease their access to weal schemes framed by the Government and to help demarcation in matters relating to their employment. “ In performance to the vittles of the forenamed Act, the Department of Personnel and Training,( DOPT), Ministry of Personnel Public Grievances and Pensions, Government of India vide Office MemorandumNo. 39028/ 02/ 2016- Estt( B) dated20.04.2020, has issued an premonitory to all Ministries and Departments in Government of India, requesting for revision of the applicable Examination Rules to give for addition of Transgender as a separate order of gender, ” the indirect said. DOPT has also notified Civil Services Examination Rules, 2020 on 05 February 2020, furnishing for addition of Transgender as a separate order of gender for the said test, it noted. “ Consequently, all executive departments are requested to modify the applicable Examination/ Service rules, as the case may be, for addition of a separate order of ‘ Third Gender/ any Other Category ” in the operation forms in reclamation to colorful posts in the UT of J&K so as to insure that the applicable rules are in conformity with the Transgender Persons( Protection of Rights), Act of 2019. ”( GNS)
