July 28, 2025: The government used the Ravana analogy to make its point on a day when the Lok Sabha will discuss the Indian response to the Pahalgam terror attack and the Pahalgam terror attack. “When Ravan crossed the Laxman Rekha, Lanka burned,” stated Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, announcing that the discussion on Operation Sindoor would begin today in Parliament.
Terrorist camps were set ablaze when Pakistan crossed India's red lines! In the meantime, leaders of the INDIA bloc met in the Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge's chamber to plan the debate.
The Opposition, led by members of Congress, wants to blame the government for Pakistan's combat losses and US President Donald Trump's claims that he is a mediator in the conflict. Yesterday in Tamil Nadu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared that Operation Sindoor demonstrated that terrorists do not have a safe haven.
The government intends to portray Operation Sindoor as a sign of India's rising independence, and the Prime Minister is expected to participate in a debate that will likely draw attention from around the world.
It will be an occasion for India to speak clearly on Pakistan-sponsored terror and new red lines as reflected in the post Pahalgam attack war doctrine: “Terror attacks will be treated and responded to as acts of war.”
