Despite the notification of the Jammu and Kashmir BJP state president election, no candidate reached the BJP headquarters on Monday to fill the nomination. Ravindra Raina, a strong contender for the post of state president, will file his nomination at the party headquarters on 14 January.

According to Sardar Virendrajit Singh, who is in charge of organizational elections, he and his team members were sitting in the party headquarters on Monday, but no candidate reached the nomination. Nominations can be filed for the election of the state president by 3 pm on Tuesday.

On 14 January, the nomination papers will be examined at 5 pm and the President will be announced at 11 am on 15 January. The name of the state president will be announced in the presence of Union ministers Dr. Harsh Vardhan and Tarun Chugh, who have been appointed as central observers.

During this time around 1200 state level leaders will also be called. After the announcement of the new state president of the BJP, not only will the activities of the party increase in the state, the new state president will also be authorized to nominate his team (state office bearers).
