From August 5, the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir is debarred from 4G internet facility which has affected the whole internet user community in general and researchers/students in particular. Govt has failed to understand to what extent the ban on internet facility has harmed the students learning In the region, every person is not a regular student of educational institutions and every educational institution does not provide internet facility, within internet providing educational institution some may get the facility and other may not.

Despite of popular sloganeering of digital India of the PM of India, the Government put a blockade on the internet to hamper the significant empirical research outcomes for students, researchers, and teachers.

This was observed by former Minister and senior Congress leader Raman Bhalla while interacting with students and their parents who seemed worried regarding their future amid the Covid-19 crisis at Govindpura Ward-4.

Prominent among those present on the occasion include Amrit Bali, Pawan Bhagat, Rakesh Singh, Vijay Kumar, Deepu, Ravi Kumar, Raghubir Singh, Rajinder Gupta, Joginder Pal, Vijay Kumar, Karun Pachyala, Santosh Gupta and Charandeep Singh.

Continuing with this restriction, the students are unable to consult the scholarly articles and research papers to prepare for their exams and assignments. The effect doesnt end here but also has hampered scholars participation into the day to day academic seminars and conferences as he or she cannot get the notification related to these events. They have become inactive in participating in the seminars and conferences and publishing their research works. Bhalla further said that BJP Govt has failed to understand how to deal with the perceived security threats to local representatives, including Panchs and Sarpanchs who were touted to enforce various welfare schemes of the Narendra Modi government.

Besides the elected representatives, the administration has also failed provide security to former ministers, politicians, activists and even journalists who face an alleged threatening situation thus making it the task of the UT government more challenging, he said
