Three devotees who came to see Maa Vaishno Devi were injured in a landslide on the Battery Car Road. The injured were referred to the Narayana Hospital of Sri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board for treatment. The injured devotees have been identified as Om Prakash age 49 years, son Ramprakash, Mukesh Kumar age 28 years, son Ramakant, USA Singh age 45 years, son Prahlada Singh, all residents of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

According to the police, when the devotees were leaving towards the building to visit the Maa Vaishno Devi, there was a landslide near Panchhi Colony located on the battery car route. This caused panic among the devotees. During this time 3 devotees were hit by landslides. On the other hand, the shed built on the roadway was also badly damaged. Immediately after receiving the information of the landslide, the disaster management team, Shrine Board staff and officers along with the police reached the spot. The injured were rushed to Katra immediately after providing first aid and from there they were taken to Narayana Hospital with the help of an ambulance. The injured continue to be treated. The condition of all is being told.

The battery car route has been closed. In the morning, the work of removing excreta from the route is going on. At present, the pilgrims are traveling by the traditional route. Since morning, the sky has been cloudy and icy winds have been blowing. Passenger cable car service including helicopters continues smoothly. Devotees are continuing the yatra, shouting Maa Vaishno amidst the cold wave. Last Tuesday, 16000 devotees attended the feet of Maa Vaishno Devi. By Wednesday at 5:00 pm, more than 10,000 pilgrims had registered themselves. The arrival of devotees still continued.
