Preparations for the three-day Global Investor Summit to be held in April in Jammu and Srinagar have gained momentum. The objective of the conference is to provide capital investment opportunities in tourism, horticulture and post-harvest management, agriculture and food processing, mulberry production for silk, etc. in the Union Territory. Along with this, the focus will be on health and IT, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, renewable energy, infrastructure, real estate, handloom, handicrafts, education.

In view of the conference, for the first time, a preview meeting was held in New Delhi on Monday. Meetings were held by the Jammu and Kashmir Trade Promotion Organization (JKTPO) with 350 delegates from various fields and reputed institutions. Investors around the world were told that there are unlimited possibilities for capital investment in J&K.

Lieutenant Governor Girish Chandra Murmu said on the occasion that Global Investor Summit has been held in Gujarat on behalf of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This event to increase capital investment on the same lines in Jammu and Kashmir will boost production and employment generation with investment opportunities in 14 sectors. Murmu said the government is developing 2 IT parks and ICDs in Samba. With this, more than 6000 acres of industrial land has been identified in 20 districts to develop state-of-the-art industrial parks.

The government has removed the toll barrier to make Jammu and Kashmir an economic paradise for investors. Conferences can be written for new and established entrepreneurs by investing here and writing new progress. In the PMO, Minister of State Dr. Jitendra Singh congratulated the Lieutenant Governor for such a conference at the right time and place.
