The festival, Bharat Parv, started from January 26 and is scheduled to continue till January 31, 2020. The Ministry launched the festival to allow visitors an opportunity to witness the splendor of the Republic Day tableaux.

This annual Bharat Parv has been organized with the motive to motivate Indians to visit different corners of the country and to inculcate the spirit of Dekho Apna Desh. This year, the central theme is Ek Bharat Shreshta Bharat and Celebrating 150 Years of Mahatma Gandhi.

As per the Tourism Ministry, the idea behind this festival is to celebrate the spirit of India by showcasing and promoting its diversity in culture. Open for general public till January 31, you can take part in this festival between 12 PM and 10 PM. Visitors will need to carry their IDs to gain access to the event; there is no entry fee to it.

This festival will give you an opportunity to get a taste of different cuisines from various regions, as you hop around more than 50 food stalls from different states of the country. This fest will also feature 27 theme pavilions by states and ministries and will have more than 75 craft pavilions to offer visitors an experience of the different kinds of crafts in the country.

Further, Bharat Parv will feature many attractions for public like display of Tableaux of the Republic Day parade; tourism theme pavilion by the State Governments/Union Territory Administrations and line Ministries, handicraft & handloom stalls by the State Governments/Union Territory Administrations; food courts by different State Governments, Institutes of Hotel Management and other organizations; cultural performances by the North Central Zone Cultural Centre (NCZCC) and State Governments/UT Administrations; and cookery demonstrations by various State Governments and the Institute of Hotel Management.
