Aug 18, 2025: According to officials, twenty tourists were left stranded inside the Ranthambore National Park when their safari vehicle broke down midway through the trip and the accompanying guide left them to find another vehicle. The incident occurred on Saturday evening in Zone 6 of the park. After alleged videos of the incident surfaced, the situation came to light, prompting the park administration to take action. The vehicle broke down after which the guide left them to bring a replacement. As darkness fell, tourists and the guide engaged in heated arguments, some of which were recorded. The tourists were escorted out of the park after remaining stranded for an hour.
Sources informed Deputy Conservator of Forests (DCF) Pramod Dhakad on Sunday that the guide and three canter drivers cannot enter the park until the investigation is finished. He stated that Ashwini Pratap, Assistant Conservator of Forests, has been requested to conduct an investigation. "Canter drivers Kanhaiya, Shehzad Choudhary, and Liaqat Ali, as well as guide Mukesh Bairwa, are restricted," Dhakad stated.
