There is a readiness to completely crackdown on the movement of terrorists in cargo vehicles and animal trafficking. Police departments and security agencies have sent a proposal to install thermal detector devices at the entrance gate, Lakhanpur, and all toll plazas.

It is also expected to be approved soon. With the installation of this state-of-the-art equipment, the presence of any organism in the freight vehicles will be immediately detected. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) and J&K Police have prepared a joint proposal and sent it to the Ministry of Home Affairs. Trucks are being used to carry terrorists and weapons from the National Highway.

Recently, three terrorists were piled up at Ban Toll Plaza in Nagrota. In many such incidents in the past, terrorists hiding in goods loaded in trucks have been caught along with weapons.

The police do not currently have any mechanism from Lakhanpur to Srinagar to fully investigate the cargo. Taking advantage of this drawback, large-scale animal trafficking, and terrorist activities are taking place. A senior police official said that a proposal has been sent to install thermal detector devices on sensitive test points including toll plazas.

Gives accurate information Thermal detector
Thermal detector instantly captures the presence or movement of any organism. This gives an accurate indication of the distance and location of a human or an organism, while the signal is different in the scanning of barley, manure, and other materials.

Work will also be started on installation of CCTV cameras
CCTV cameras will also be installed in susceptible areas. The decision has been taken after the terror attack on Ban Toll Plaza. The police department will select places for this and submit a report. It has also been suggested to install cameras to monitor the 300 km long highway through the NIA.
