IRCTC caters to all kinds of the tour under its wing be it for leisure or spirituality. The Bharat Darshan Special Tourist Train has been started by the IRCTC to serve those passengers who want to undertake religious pilgrimages at various holy places across India.

Now, IRCTC is operating the Bharat Darshan train for Maha Shivratri Nava Jyotirlinga Yatra from February 19 onward from Tirunelveli at 12:05 AM. The train will return to Tirunelveli on March 2 after taking the pilgrims across a wide variety of pilgrim shrines in the country. The train will be available for pilgrims from Tirunelveli, Karur, Erode, Madurai, Dindigul, Salem, Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Perambur, Nellore, Vijayawada, and Warangal.

The Bharat Darshan train will be non-AC. As per the said package, tourists will be offered accommodation in non-air conditioned dharamshalas during the trip. Non-AC road transport will be provided for traveling to different sites. All pilgrims will be served vegetarian food. The package also includes sightseeing, travel guide and security arrangements in the 12N/13D journey after leaving Sriganganagar.

The yatra will cover pilgrimage sites like Omkareshwar - Mahakaleshwar - Somnath - Trimbakeshwar - Bhimashankar - Grishneshwar - Aundha Nagnath - Parli Vaijnath - Mallikarjuna Swamy. The total cost of this tour is INR 15320 per passenger inclusive of all taxes.

The high point of the yatra will be on the day of Mahashivratri (February 21), when the pilgrims will have darshan of the Jyotirlinga at Omkareshwar Temple. The following day, pilgrims will watch the Bhasma Aarti of Mahakaleshwar and Lord Somnath in Gujarat the day after. Likewise, the pilgrims will travel and have darshan of jyotirlingas every day in other shrines.

* Night stay/Fresh up at Dharamshalas/ dormitories/ hall on a multi-sharing basis.
* Morning tea/coffee, 3 meals, and 1-litre drinking water per day.
* Tour guide & security on the train.
* Non-AC road transfers on SIC (Sit in Coach) basis.

Exclusions
* Items of personal nature like laundry, medicines.
* Entrance fee for monuments.
* Service of a tour guide.
