The leader of Imran Khan Niazi's party has apologized for the anti-Hindu poster. Anti-Hindu posters were put up by Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Akram Usman in Lahore on 'Kashmir Solidarity Day'. After the poster appeared on social media, he was severely criticized. After which Akram Usman removed anti-Hindu posters from the walls of Lahore and apologized for these posters.

Dawn News reported that PTI Lahore General Secretary Akram Usman had installed banners bearing the photographs of Prime Minister Imran Khan and Muhammad Ali Jinnah on the streets of Lahore in connection with 'Kashmir Solidarity Day'. On Thursday, Human Rights Minister Shirin Mazari said that the act done by the PTI Secretary General is shameful.

Following criticisms on social media, Usman took to Twitter to apologize, writing, 'I apologize to peace loving Hindus on both sides of the border and here. As soon as this thing came to me, I withdrew all the posters. Although clarifying his actions, Usman said that he wanted to target Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, but the printer mistakenly gave a Hindu impression instead of Modi.

Earlier in March last year, PTI's Fayyazul Hasan Chauhan was removed from the post of Punjab Information and Culture Minister for his anti-Hindu statement. The derogatory remarks against the Hindu community were severely criticized on social media. However, he returned to the Punjab cabinet after four months.
