The selfie taken by Karishma Raina, a student of Class XI of Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GGHSS), Nowabad (Jammu), with the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, after an interactive session of “Pariksha Pe Charcha 2020” at Talkatora Stadium, New Delhi, on January 20, has found a place in the event pictures being posted by the Union Human Resource Development (HRD) Ministry on its official website mhrd.gov.in.

Karishma Raina got a rare opportunity to ask a question from the Prime Minister about exam preparations and maintaining a balance between expectations of parents as well as the school management during “Pariksha Pe Charcha 2020”. Of the total registration of 4,569 students from different schools in the Jammu division, only seven students were selected to go to New Delhi.

However, the selfie on the official website of the HRD Ministry is now becoming a source of inspiration for other students of different schools who were also desirous to get selected for the event and ask a question from the Prime Minister.

“A few days ago, I was looking for some information on the HRD Ministry’s website and suddenly the selfie picture of Karishma with the Prime Minister flashed on the screen. I shared it with other friends of mine too”, Komal Sharma, a Class X student, said.

“Students are really excited to see Karishma taking a selfie with the honourable Prime Minister. It is indeed a proud moment for the whole Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Next year, more and more students will register for the 2021 edition of “Pariksha Pe Charcha” and hopefully another student from J&K will ask a question from the PM”, another student, Shubham Kumar, stated.
