Former Bandipora MLA Usman Majeed resigned from the Congress party on Sunday. He said the resignation will be sent to the party leadership on Monday. He then held the first activist conference on Sunday after Article 370 was removed. In this, he said that Kashmir is an integral part of India and no one can separate it from India.

Said that a new party will soon come into existence in Jammu and Kashmir. In a conference held six months later, he targeted the regional parties and said that the NC and PDP misled the people on the basis of self rule and autonomy. In Kashmir, people were affected due to these. Attacking the Congress, he said that because of this party, the people of Kashmir have been suffering for the last 70 years.
