NIA Raids on seven locations of terrorists , one in custody

A fortnight after it was handed over an investigation into the terror attack on Ban Toll Plaza in Jammu, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday arrested Zahid Ahmad Wani, commander of the terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed in Pulwama, South Kashmir, and Sameer was caught in the encounter. Seven houses including Ahmed Dar's house were raided. During this time, the investigating agency has seized some papers and other materials.

All these hideouts belong to the terrorists and their relatives. Meanwhile, the NIA has detained a youth, Zubeer Ahmed Bhat, from Drabgam Pulwama for questioning. However, it has not been officially confirmed. According to the information, the investigating agency first searched the house of Zahid Ahmed Wani in Karimabad. The team later reached the home of Sameer Ahmed Dar in Gundibagh Pulwama.

Sameer is a driver by profession and is a relative of Adil Ahmed who carried out the attack on a convoy of CRPF personnel on 14 February 2019 in Pulwama. Sameer was arrested during the encounter on 31 January in Nagrota. Three foreign terrorists were killed in this encounter.

Sources say that separate teams of NIA also raided Khan Saheb area of ​​Budgam district. However, no official has confirmed this.
