woman who was accused in a double murder case on Tuesday committed suicide inside the Tihar jail in New Delhi.

The deceased, along with her husband was accused of killing her in-laws. The couple was lodged in Tihar jail. The woman committed suicide on Tuesday. Police said that the matter is being probed.

Police said the woman identified as Parveena hanged herself with her "dupatta" in her cell. The woman was rushed to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital, where she was declared brought dead by the doctors, the police said.

On inquiry, it was found that the deceased was lodged in Tihar Jail since April 25 when she was arrested with her husband for the murder of her father-in-law and mother-in-law.

On the intervening night of April 26 and 27, Kavita was found hanging from the exhaust fan at Tihar Jail No 6.
