Nainital all geared up to host Winter Carnival from December 26

Nainital will be hosting Winter Carnival from December 26 to promote tourism in the region. As per the latest reports. Uttarakhand Tourism Development Council and Nainital District Administration have started preparations for the same.

Reportedly, Winter Carnival will be held at various places from December 26 to December 30. Reports state that the places along with Nainital include, Satatal, Bhimtal, Kotabagh, and Pangot.


During the five-day event, cross country and paragliding competitions will be the main focus, which will be organized in Kotabagh region. Apart from these, other activities that have been lined up include paramotoring, hot air balloon ride, ATV rally, MTB rally, trekking, zip lining, rock climbing, kayaking, flower show, as well as heritage walk & village tour.

District Administration Nainital invites you to a Butterfly Walk at Kyari, a forest village in the Jim Corbett area. Those visiting the spot during this time can also take part in bird watching workshops which will be held in Sattal and Pangot. Then wall painting, kayaking, boat races will be the highlight in Bhimtal, whereas boat decorations, astro photography, and half marathon will take centre stage in Nainital.

The Winter Carnival has been planned in such a manner that you will have an opportunity to enjoy the winter sun, while the rich Kumaoni culture and a host of other tourist activities will keep you engaged throughout.
