The world's richest person, Bernard Arnault, has appointed his daughter, Delphine Arnault, to head the fashion house Dior. Chairman and CEO Arnault promoted his daughter as part of a reshuffle at LVMH. He also named a new boss for Louis Vuitton. Pietro Beccari, who has been the head of Dior since 2018, is moving to replace Michael Burke, the long-time CEO at Louis Vuitton. Both are well respected logical promotions within the group. The changes will come to effect in February. Delphine, 47, has previously worked at Louis Vuitton for a past decade alongside Burke and has also spent a dozen years at Dior. Burke, who has been chairman of jewellery label Tiffany and is Bernard Arnault's longest-serving lieutenant, will continue to work alongside Bernard, the company said in a statement. However, his new role was not detailed. He oversaw the soaring growth at LV and played a key role in elevating street style to luxury in the past few years. Beccari previously led the LVMH-owned label Fendi and increased sales at Christian Dior significantly during his tenure. All five of Bernard Arnault’s children hold management positions at brands in the group. His elder son, Antoine Arnault was recently appointed as chief executive of family holding company Christian Dior SE. Alexandre Arnault, 30, is in charge of products and communication at Tiffany, while Frederic Arnault, 28, is CEO of another group brand, TAG Heuer. The youngest child, Jean Arnault, 24, heads marketing and product development for Louis Vuitton's watches division.
