Actor Akshay Kumar made his 56th birthday special by visiting the Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain on Saturday and seeking the blessings of Baha Mahakal.
Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan also participated in prayers at the Mahakaleshwar temple to bring victory to the team in the upcoming matches.
Akshay Kumar and Shikhar Dhawan enthusiastically participated in the Bhasma Aarti (ash offering) and sought the blessings of Lord Mahakal. Interacting with the media, Kumar prayed for the country's success and prosperity.
Although not part of the World Cup squad, Dhawan expressed his support and wished the Indian team victory when he visited the Mahakali temple in Ujjain. Akshay Kumar had earlier visited Lord Mahakal's court when he was shooting for OMG 2, which crossed Rs 120 crore at the box office.
Earlier on Thursday, actor Akshay Kumar unveiled the teaser of his upcoming film 'Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue'.
Akshay dropped the teaser on Instagram. " 1989. In 2008, a man showed courage and conviction that saved lives! #MissionRaniganjTeaser now. Watch Bharat's true heroic story in #MissionRaniganj in theaters on October 6," he wrote. The film is based on the real-life events of the late Jaswant Singh Gill, who led India's first successful coal mine rescue mission.
"Mission Raniganj" will hit theaters on October 6.
Apart from this, Akshay will also be seen in the Indian Tamil drama 'Soorarai Pottru', which is slated to hit the theaters on February 16, 2024.
