May 30, 2025: Sanjeev Verma, a senior IAS officer, has been named Jammu & Kashmir's chief electoral officer.
Verma, an AGMUT cadre IAS officer from the 2001 batch, is presently the Commissioner Secretary of the Social Welfare Department.
He has previously served in important positions such as Commissioner Secretary, General Administration Department, and Divisional Commissioner, Jammu.
