WATSUPPTODAY.COM NEWS DESK | SRINAGAR

Spokesperson of Bharatiya Janta Party(BJP), JK unit, Altaf Thakur on Friday lashed out at National Conference's(NC's) additional general secretary, Mustafa Kamal for his remarks, endorsing separatist leader, Syed Ali Shah Geelani's take on Kashmir.
Referring to United Nation(UN) resolutions, Kamal on Thursday told reporters on the sidelines of a function that Geelani always spoke truth about Kashmir. He went on saying, "the statements of Geelani with regard to 17 UN resolutions are based on facts.'
Thakur said that Jammu and Kashmir (JK) is an integral part of India, adding that United Nation(UN) has nothing to with Kashmir
"Kamal is misleading people so as his party. The people of state are wise enough to understand, the motive behind such statements
‌They never talked about UN resolutions in the past. Their game is over. Such type of statements won't work now," Thakur said.
Asserting that democracy has been flourishing, not in the state but through out the country under BJP government, Thakur stated that abrogation of articles -370 and 35-A was a big milestone for unity and integrity.
"These articles have been proving otherwise. These articles were hampering the development, depriving daughters of their property rights and besides facilitating corruption," he said.
"Where is autonomy and self rule?" Thakur asked NC and Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) respectively.
"They have been deceiving people. The have nothing to sell now. They were befooling people by saying that they will ensure restoration of autonomy and self-rule. The abrogation of articles-370 and 35-A was the last nail in their coffin," he said.
BJP spokesperson said that his party does not believe in divisive politics, adding people of all religions have been living peacefully.
"We firmly believe in our slogan "Sab Ka Saath, Sab Ka Vikas and Sab Ka Vishwas.
Everyone in the country has been enjoying his/her rights. There is no discrimination on the basis of religion. People of all faiths have liberty to preach their religion,"he added.
Thakur said that BJP led central government is committed to take country on the path of peace, prosperity and development.
"Whole world is looking at India. The world leaders have been praising Narinder Modi for his people friendly initiatives. Under his able guidance, the country has been excelling in every field.People have full faith in him," he added.
