On August 5, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to become a part of perhaps the most momentous event in the history of the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) or the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP).

Sources in the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) told that the 'Bhumi Pujan' (Hindu ceremony before the beginning of any construction) for the sanctum sanctorum of the proposed Ram Janmabhoomi temple at Ayodhya is likely to be held on August 5. The PM may attend the ceremony after which work on the foundation for the temple will commence, they added.
