More than 20 leaders from Jammu and Kashmir, mostly from Ghulam Nabi Azad's Democratic Progressive Party, joined the Congress in the presence of party chief Mallikarjun Kharge on Monday.
Kharge said that Jammu and Kashmir Congress Party is getting stronger day by day.
"We welcome several eminent leaders who have joined us today. It is a testimony of how the people of Jammu and Kashmir want the Jammu and Kashmir Congress to take the lead to solve their problems and bring peace and prosperity," the Congress president tweeted.
The party also attacked Azad saying that "Mr. GNA himself gives fresh evidence of his DNA mutation, saying that "opponents of abrogation of Article 370 do not know about the situation on the ground". Congress president Kharge, AICC general secretary organization in-charge KC Venugopal, AICC state in-charge Rajani Patil, and Jammu and Kashmir Congress leader Vikar Rasool Wani were also present.
