Officials said on Saturday that the Army rescued a 16-year-old girl and provided medical treatment after she hurt herself with an axe in a village in Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar on Friday.
Manisha, a resident of Churunda village, was recognized as the girl. According to the Army, she accidentally injured herself on the left foot while working near Seb Neck, resulting in profuse blood and the possibility of infection.
According to officials, the Army received information at 2.30 pm and responded quickly, with troops from Mike Battalion arriving at the spot near the Line of Control and providing first aid to her.
The girl was transported to the Battalion's MI Room, where she received her first treatment. The wound was sutured by the unit RMO. Following her treatment, a vehicle transported her to the nearest road head, where she was safely taken home by soldiers.

The Army's prompt response and support were warmly appreciated by the people, who commended the troops for their prompt involvement and for extracting the child from the hostile terrain, according to officials.
