A special PMLA court on Thursday remanded Jet Airways founder Naresh Goyal to 14-day custody in a money laundering case related to an alleged Rs 538 crore in Canara Bank.
The court accepted Goyal's request to send him to Arthur Road Jail in South Mumbai.
On September 1, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested Goyal under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) after a lengthy interrogation at the central agency's office here.

The money laundering case stems from an FIR filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) against Jet Airways, Goyal, his wife Anita, and some former executives of the private airline in the alleged Rs 538 crore scam. Canary Bank.
The FIR was filed on the bank's complaint alleging that it had sanctioned credits and loans to Jet Airways (India) Ltd to the tune of Rs 848.86 crore, of which Rs 538.62 crore was outstanding.
