The three-day workshop on ‘Counselling Psychology: Needs and Opportunities' concluded here on Friday. This workshop started on January 29, as an initiative of Higher Education Department with a motto of exposing students to luminaries of Psychology for providing them a solution to the modern-age turmoils and conflicts of society by adopting the psychological tools of counselling.

The valedictory function was presided over by Sanjeev Rana, Deputy Secretary Higher Education in presence of Principal GCW Parade, Dr S P Saraswat. Prof B B Anand, a senior faculty of college and Dr Ravinder Kour, Head Department of Psychology also graced the occasion.

The welcome address and report of the entire programme were delivered by Rashu Sharma, Assistant Prof GDC Samba and member Co-ordination Cell of Higher Education Department with help of active feedback by participating students. Vote of thanks was delivered by Dr Sofi Mohammad Zuber, Government Degree College, Bijbehara.

The students interacted with veterans of Psychology from various prestigious universities of India including BHU, Bombay and Patiala University.
