Savitri Devi Jagiri Lal Charity Trust, Talab Tillo and Jammu Sanskriti School in a joint effort provided books for the library of the Bal Ashram.

A request was received from the Chairperson Child Welfare Committee to provide books for students of Bal Ashram located at R S Pura. With combined efforts of R S Gupta, Managing Trustee, Savitri Devi Jagiri Lal Charity Trust, Talab Tillo and Rohini Aima, Principal Jammu Sanskriti School, a total of 761 books for the library were donated to Bal Ashram.

In this regard a simple ceremony was organized by District Social Welfare Officer, Ajay Satan at Bal Ashram R S Pura, being run by the Social Welfare Department. Brig A S Kalsi graced the occasion as Chief Guest while Brig Harcharan Singh, Director Sainik Welfare Department; Shalini Sharma, Chairman of Child Welfare Committee and her team, along with R S Gupta and Rohini Aima were also present on the occasion.

Director Sainik Welfare Deptt, Brig Harcharan Singh, informed the students about sacrifices of Heroes from armed forces. He further said that students are future leaders and citizens of the country who will lead the nation to new heights. He advised students to emulate great personalities like Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, who is an epitome of honesty, hard work, and patriotism. He also covered various options available for students to join Sainik School, Navodaya Vidyalaya, and NDA.

Col Rawel Singh, Zila Sainik Welfare Officer Jammu thanked Rohini Aima (Jammu Sanskriti School) and R S Gupta (Savitri Devi Jagiri Lal Charity Trust) for their efforts to motivate underprivileged children of the society.
