Low intensity Earthquake jolts Ladakh, fourth tremor in two weeks

An Earthquake with a magnitude of 3.6 on Richter Scale struck Ladakh at 4:44 am on Monday, the National Centre for Seismology (NCS) said.

The Earthquake hit 110 kilometres north-west of Kargil at a depth of 10 kilometres, the reports said. No casualties have been reported so far in the incident.

Earlier on October 8, an Earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter Scale hit Ladakh's Kargil. The tremor occurred at 9:22 am at a depth of 10 kilometres.

On October 6, a moderate intensity earthquake of magnitude 5.1 shook Ladakh. According to the reports, the earthquake lasted for a few seconds, triggering panic among residents. Once again, there was no report of any casualties or damage to property due to the earthquake.
